Section 1: Position Summary

The Senior Trust Associate is part of the Processing team. This position is responsible for processing a variety of transactions in a timely manner into the correct accounts, with the correct tax codes and transaction details. The types of transactions include processing incoming deposits, outgoing disbursements or asset purchases, adjustments of account holdings, and escrow disbursements.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of transactions daily accurately and efficiently
  • Review documentation and process transactions based off specific client instructions
  • Ensure transactions are coded correctly for tax reporting purposes
  • Handle general inquiries from coworkers, clients, or agents Maintain knowledge on current processes, procedures, and IRS regulations
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent financial services work experience.
  • CIS I, CIS II, CIP, CISP or equivalent participation in industry specific education or certification courses
  • Advanced Word, Excel (Expert level), and Outlook skills
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of all retirement plan types
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet in connection with business operations, including system and transaction matters.
  • Ability to effectively plan and assign work and supervise support staff.
  • Leverages extensive retirement knowledge to consult and resolve pressing client issues.
  • Provide management reporting as required.
