WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
  • Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
  • Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Maintain production knowledge and attention to detail with decoration and taste quality
  • Assist Pastry Chef, other Assistant Pastry Chefs, bakers, and helpers as needed in execution of production
  • Conduct training for bakers and helpers on job responsibilities
  • Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
  • Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling food and labor cost, and establish goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people
  • Assist Executive Chef and Pastry Chef by controlling of purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Either a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in pastry.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT?

  • Knowledge of bakery equipment to include, but not limited to a slicing machine, mixers, VCR, and small wares equipment
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Knowledge of weights, measures and various baking and preparation techniques
  • Apply advanced Knife skills
  • Strong knowledge of American and European pastries such as viennoiserie.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
