THE JOB:

As a Garde Manger Cook you will be responsible for skillfully applying culinary techniques in a cold prep environment. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Prepare and set up the cold kitchen line, including salads, seafood, appetizers, ice creams, cold meets, cheese platters, fresh fruit platters, and fruit baskets

  • Consistently produce high-quality and appropriate quantities of food items according to established standards, utilizing excellent knife skills for precision and efficiency

  • Follow standard recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality in food preparations

  • Work efficiently and effectively in both front and back of house cold stations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of cold station walk-ins, reach-ins, and work areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Monitor and adjust food inventory levels based on business needs to minimize waste and optimize production, while ensuring proper rotation of perishable items

  • Work daily in an environment maintained at temperatures as low as 58 degrees Fahrenheit or colder, ensuring comfort and safety while executing tasks in the cold kitchen setting

  • Collaborate with kitchen team members and management to ensure smooth operation of the cold kitchen and timely preparation of cold food items

  • Preform additional job-related duties as requested

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

  • Three (3) years' experience in a similar position

  • Experience working in a resort setting preferably in a culinary field

  • Experience working in the culinary field
