Outcomes and Activities:
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
- Develop, test and implement statistical models and data infrastructure
- Actively monitor the performance of models in production
- Analyze data to drive better business decisions
- Develop complex programming to extract and manipulate data
- Serve as an expert of products and tools used in the development of statistical models
- Serve as an analytical thought-leader in the organization and champion new ways of performing analytics (Director)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years' experience developing predictive models (Manager)
- 6+ years' experience developing predictive models (Senior Manager)
- 7+ years experience developing predictive models, including originations and behavior models (Director)
- 5+ years' experience using programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, etc.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Senior Manager/Director)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong experience solving problems across disciplines preferably in the financial services industry
- Excellent professional and academic credentials (Director)
- Executive level experience solving problems across disciplines preferably in the financial services industry (Director)
- Deep experience in a credit-based data environment with strong knowledge of the inner workings of credit and alternative credit bureaus with the ability to oversee and solve complicated technical problems (Director)
- Ability to confidently interact with senior business leaders (Director)
Preferred:
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, etc.
- Advanced SAS programming certification
- Experience in the consumer lending industry, with some preference given to automobile finance experience
- Experience developing credit risk scorecards or collection scores
- Recent consulting or small company experience
- Experience leading direct reports (Director)
Targeted Compensation: $133,000 - $240,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan
This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
