The Knowledge Management Business Analyst provides knowledge management, business process improvement, program management, meetings, and SharePoint design and implementation in support of our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with knowledge management strategy, organizational change management stakeholder communications, and requirements gathering for knowledge management. The ideal candidate will also possess the people and technical skills to gather and document requirements; determine site and library structures; configure pages, web parts, and tools; develop and deliver training; and provide troubleshooting and assistance to users of varying skill levels on the design, use, and customization of SharePoint. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Policy, Strategy, and Analysis

  • Thinking strategically, translating strategies into actionable plans, and developing or providing key input into project schedules and work products
  • Researching, tracking, and analyzing statutes and implementing provisions considering relevant strategic, regulatory, operational, and resource constraints
  • Analyzing business processes and programs to identify opportunities to increase business efficiency
  • Performing data analysis and collecting, reviewing, and aggregating data into spreadsheets to support reporting and decision-making
  • Designing and supporting the implementation of change management approaches focused on stakeholder engagement, adoption, and communication
  • Developing internal and external communication products, including but not limited to: email messages, fact sheets, white papers, plans, processes, presentations, and reports to convey information and facilitate buy-in
  • Developing conclusions and recommendations, writing reports, and coordinating the development of documentation and briefings to be presented to senior leadership, Congress, and the Administration
  • Providing meeting design and facilitation support, including agendas, logistics, facilitation, and meeting minutes
  • Working with the Project Manager to effectively engage the customer, delivering presentations, leading customer meetings, resolving issues, and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assisting with project tracking by updating action item trackers, dashboards, and other project tools
  • Maintaining a central repository (in SharePoint) of project deliverables, meeting minutes, and other documents submitted to the customer
  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to design, implement, and manage business programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

SharePoint

  • Expert in SharePoint platform, including its various features, functionalities, and configurations
  • Interviewing stakeholders to document the current state and future requirements for SharePoint
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand requirements, provide updates, and gather feedback on SharePoint solutions.
  • Integrate SharePoint with other systems and tools used within the organization to streamline knowledge management processes
  • Developing a strategy, roadmap, stakeholder engagement plan, training, user documentation, and communication products to leverage the capabilities of SharePoint in support of collaboration, data sharing, and knowledge management across multiple directorates
  • Participating in the planning, design, and deployment of new SharePoint sites, solutions (such as dashboards and trackers), and workflows
  • Taking the lead in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business rules, style guides, governance, a data management strategy, delivering job aids, communications, training, and tools related to SharePoint
  • Manage projects related to SharePoint knowledge management initiatives, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking
  • Stay abreast of latest trends and advancements in SharePoint and knowledge management practices to continuously improve solutions and processes

Must be a US Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

Education and Experience:

  • Must have at least 10 years in Knowledge Management and at least seven years of SharePoint experience.
  • BA/BS degree
  • Knowledge Management and/or SharePoint certification required
