M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II - Non-Destructive Inspection:
Job Description:
* Conducts daily Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) operations.
* Inspects structures, components, and support equipment to detect cracks, delamination's, voids, and heat damage using
penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, computer radiography, and ultrasonic test equipment.
* Determines test method and prepares fluids and parts for inspection.
* Interprets test results and provides information about defects.
* Analyzes wear metal content on engine lubricating oil and other fluids.
* Monitors personal exposure areas for radiographic operations.
* Determines metallurgical information of components according to alloy, temper, conductivity, and associated factors.
* Reads and interprets manufacturers' and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data.
* Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required.
* May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by management.
* Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into
applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required.
* May be required to monitor and lead teams to perform more complex aircraft inspections and repairs.
* May be required to write/initiate engineering technical assistance requests.
* Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians.
Additional Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable
* Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in
the same language.
* Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.
* Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).
* Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.
* Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
* Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled movement area (CMA) access is
required must be able to pass color vision test.
* Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing,
kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
* May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract.

Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 years performing as a USAF fighter Non-Destructive technician in one of the following: A-10, F-15,
F-16, F-22, or F-35 and must obtain certification in accordance with the National Aerospace Standard (NAS) 410 in
all five NDI disciplines.
* Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.
