Location US-NV-North Las Vegas ID 2024-26263 Type Regular Full-Time Category Finance/Accounting
Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the collection process by maintaining good working relationships with Sales, Trade Development, Management and Customers. Lead the researching and resolution of customer payments, short pays and deductions to ensure the customer accounts are reconciled timely and in accordance with State Liquor Laws.

Responsibilities
    Monitor and maintain collection of accounts, bills and deductions in accordance with state liquor laws
  • Reconciliation of account balances, identify mistakes and correcting, resolve issues causing unpaid bills, short pays or deductions
  • Make order approval decisions based on credit procedures
  • Assume lead role in the collection process, researching and resolution of customer A/R process and reducing delinquency deductions in accordance with state liquor laws
  • Process payments quickly, efficiently, and verifying accuracy. Payments include, but not limited to ACH, EDI, Salesman Collections, Warehouse, and Remote Deposit.
  • Prepares daily accounts receivable deposit, including creating receipts for entry and balancing receipts to checks
  • Answer incoming calls thru Credit Queue.
  • Delinquency, Removals, NSF
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Accounting or Business preferable
  • 2+ years in accounts receivable or related area
  • Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within accounts receivable field
  • Excellent MS Office skills, with advance experience in Excel a plus
  • Proficient with automated accounting systems
  • SAP or similar ERP software experience a plus

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent hand motion with answering and dialing phones and computer work
  • Occasional carrying, overhead reaching and lifting of 15 pounds to perform various duties
  • Occasional immediate reaching to perform various office duties
  • Occasional standing for short amounts of time to perform various duties
  • Occasional walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
  • Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation
  • Minimal squatting or bending to perform various duties
  • Occasional Climb Stairs
